Vermicast extract soil feed

My son Dean (also a member) has the same set up. I was curious about the organic molasses as to whether we were unknowingly shooting ourselves in the foot 💥

Hi. I did a quick dig around and found Suphur (E220) has a keratolytic activity (which softs the keratin in organism that contain it), and has mild antimicrobial properties. So still not sure if that is a signifcant antimicrobial level, If in doubt ! Maybe tweek it by using iHerb UK for orgainc molasses or maybe use 1kg of demerara sugar instead. If the vermicast is just minerals then this will be irrelavent but I suspect there are wee beastie's and fungi involved somewhere - I've still lots to learn😀

Oh that’s interesting. Sugar could be a good alternative. I read in Nicole Masters book that you can do it without molasses too. It’s def a fungal rich mix I’m trying to make so maybe next batch I’ll leave it out or add some sugar. How is Deans working for him? I’m finding my sprayer is getting really clogged up so I had to remove the gauze to get enough of a dump in the ground.
